With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Chalmers (Magrath, Alberta), born in Lethbridge, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 22, 2025 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chalmers and Edythe Jacobs; his stepfather Richard Osterberg; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Iris Chalmers; his great grandchildren, Ariella and Everly Bjornn; and his daughter-in-law Kaylene Chalmers.
He is survived by: his wife Maleta Yvonne Carter; and his children, Ken of Smithfield, Utah, Dave (Callee) of Welling, Monica Petersen (Dan) of West Bountiful, Utah, Jacquie Pierson (Wayne) of Los Alamitos, California and Wayne (YuLian) of Edmonton. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren (including spouses), 52 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
