He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Leslie and Albina Bendle (Lucy Bendle); and his siblings, Allen, Gwen, Mildred and Millie.

He is survived by: his son Derek Bendle (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Taigen (Carter), Shayla and Deklin Bendle; and his great grandchild Sloane MacDonald. He is also survived by friends, extended family.
