He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne; his parents, Charlie Bechtold and Jean Bechtold; his parents-in-law, Gordan and Irene Tofsrud; his siblings, Kenny, Gerald, Gary Bechtold and Jean Stuber; and his brother-in-law Alan Stuber.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Brenda Craig; his son Greg; his daughter-in-law Jacquie Bechtold; his daughter Rhonda; his son-in-law Mike Busch; his grandchildren, Megan and Linsey Bechtold; his siblings, Harvey Bechtold (Debbie), Reuben Bechtold (Maureen), Shirley Drefs (Dale) and Ruth Stuber (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Ray Tofsrud (Kathy), Don Tofsrud, Larry Tofsrud, Dwyane Tofsrud (Chris), Vicky Van Brabant (Rene) and Kathy Ewasiuk (Tim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
