She was predeceased by: her husband William; her parents, Frances Helfrich and Martin Helfrich; her son Audwin Steier; her sister Rose; her brother-in-law Anton Dirk (Tony); and her brothers, Simon Helfrich (Sam) and Christopher Helfrich (Chris).

She is survived by: her children, Melinda Alexandre (Alain) of Lethbridge, Brenda Steier-Sacopaso of Red Deer, Barry Steier (Carol) of Medicine Hat and William Evans (Cheryl) of Calgary; her grandchildren, Vanessa, Ryan, Natasha, Chelsey, Sashia, Shawn, Matthew and Mackenzie; and her great grandchildren, Chante, Jenna, Savanna, Ryker, Shay, Teagan, Camron, Jaycob and Isabelle.
