She was predeceased by: her son Neil; her former husband Leonard T. Schalkwyk; and her husband Abe Unger. She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Rita Schalkwyk (family: Matthias) of Red Deer, AB, Hannah (Matt) of Red Deer, AB, Hilary (Matt) of Smithers, BC, Reuben (Lauren) of Red Deer, AB and Janelle (Brant). She is also survived by 4 children, 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Living Hope Church (300 Primrose Dr SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B3S9).
