It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Blackmer of Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away on September 3, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Giroux and Blanche Giroux; her husband James Blackmer; her sisters, Carole White (Max) and Doreen Tracey (Bob); her brothers-in-law, John Pavelich and Norman Scherer; and her daughter-in-law Shauna Blackmer.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Blackmer, Janice Blackmer, Karen Blackmer-Thompson (Ken) and Sandra Regier (Chuck); her sisters, Marge Pavelich, Donna Campbell (Greg) and Beverly Giroux; her grandchildren, Marnie Beggs-Murray, Melanie Beggs-Murray (Shaun), Aaron Blackmer (Gina), Jamie Blackmer (Kenzie Lapointe), Danielle Bertram (Casey), Matthew Blackmer (Amber), Milan Belisle (Waylon), Braydon Regier (Jessica) and Alynn Regier (Kris Sotiros); and her great grandchildren, Sohee, Nicolas, Kase, Havalyn, Scarlett, Hadley, Peyton and Genevieve. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
