He is survived by: his wife Madeline Fauser; his children, Tarry Herter (Audrey) and Sandy Liske (Vic); his grandchildren, Neil Thauberger (Laurie), Nicole Forsberg (Barry Windover), Kelly Herter (Anita) and Cody Liske (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Tyler Thauberger, Luke, Stormie Forsberg, Talyssa and Kierra Herter; his sister-in-law Leona Herter; and his son-in-law Larry Lant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
