He was predeceased by: his parents, Ione and Jesse; and his brother-in-law Nick Kozij. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Welte (Kopp); his sons, Warren, Wayne and Wade "Jig" (Tammy); his grandchildren, Wryder and Tayler; his sisters, Shirley Kozij, Sharon Newton (Alick) and Lynette Ziola (Alvin); and his sister-in-law Lorraine Welte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
