He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Elgie and Margaret Elgie; his son Brian Elgie; his grandson Austin Elgie; his brothers, Norman Elgie and Ed Elgie; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Elgie and Lorne Kvale; and his parents-in-law, Tom, Grace Kvale and Anne Hayden.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Ross-Elgie, Robin Elgie and Julie Elgie; the mother of his children Judy; his grandchildren, Cody Ross (Chelsey Grant), Kianna, RaeAnn, Brooklyn, Asha, Bryleigh, Kryssa and Hayven; his siblings, Marion Beetstra (Bill), Pat Elgie, Evelyn Coneys (Marcus) and Shirley Gow (Paul); and his sister-in-law Wendy Tumbach. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
