He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Traxler and Faith Traxler; his nieces, Karen and Laurie; and his sisters, Grace Tucker, Claudia Halverson and Ruth Webster.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rose Ellen Heitrich; his children, Shane Traxler and Vickie Elhart (Arthur Burgess); his grandchildren, Dylan Seefried, Ryder and Grace Becker; his great grandchildren, Carson, Kinsley, Arya and Heidi; his siblings, Elaine Mueller (Doug) and Grant Traxler (Marie); his nephew Rick Heitrich; his daughter Robin Heitrich; his niece Kathy LaChapelle; Tristen, Teyarah (Chris), Tessa and Teagan. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
