He was predeceased by : his parents, George Butterfield and Mabel Butterfield. He is survived by : his daughter Michelle Robinson (Ryan); his granddaughter Kayla; his son Scott Butterfield (Denise); his grandchildren, Clara and Rayne; his son Randy Butterfield (Karla); his grandchildren, Brea and Brady; his siblings, Hazel McMillan (Terry), Beverly Sample, Bob Butterfield, Don Butterfield (Marion) and Valerie Butterfield; and also Sheila McLennan (Don).

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, the service honouring Colin's life will be by invitation only.
