It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deepa Jayasundera of Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Thilaka Jayasundera; his children, Nipunie, Yosha and Asitha; his parents, Jayasena and Alice Jayasundera of Kalagedihena; his children-in-law, Chamath Perera, Thilan Gunasekara and Olga Jayasundera; his siblings, Siri Jaysundera (Sri Lanka Police) and Sarath Jayasundera (Central Bank); his siblings-in-law, Senaka Samarasinghe (Mahaweli Authority), Chandani Samarasinghe (Vishaka Vidyalaya), Vijay De Mel (National Housing Development), Yamuna De Mel, Marlene Jayasundera and Nalini Jayasundera; his grandchildren, Dinithi, Navith and Seja; and his friend Tony Opatha.
