The family announces the passing of Eileen Fode (Medicine Hat, Alberta) on September 15, 2026. Eileen, born on June 30, 1923, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Eileen will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honour Eileen by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Eileen is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Eileen’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Fode; her parents, Albert Gehring and Louise Gehring; and her in-laws, John and Molly Fode.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Hanson (Harold) and Sharon Biffart (Richard). She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (1280 10 Ave SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A0C7).
