She was predeceased by: her parents, Johan Schmidt and Maria Schmidt; and her siblings, Bill Schmidt, Marie Schrieber and Katherine Lutz.

She is survived by: her daughter Lynda Moffatt (Jim Glasgo); her grandchildren, Rick Eckes (Chantal) and Jen Hauck (Jordan); her daughter Louise Reimer (Wendel Bitz); her grandchildren, Michael (Val), Justin (Nicole), Terri-Lynn (Lyle), Cheyenne (Warren) and Alicia (Jordan); her son Lyle Eckes (Lisa); her grandchildren, Dylan Eckes (Melissa) and Devyn Eckes (Rebecca); and her sisters-in-law, Katie Pernitsky and Bertha Schmidt. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
