She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Heslien and Martha Heslien; her husband Leonard Mayer; and her daughter Janice. She is survived by : her daughters, Carrie Reimer (Walter), Katherine Ludwig (Al), Tracy Campbell (Clayton) and Paula Waddell (Donnie); and her grandchildren, Laurie Reimer, Roger Reimer, Brooke Lawson, Cara Taber, Lee Taber, Ashley, Curtis, Brandon Campbell, Dustin Waddell and Megan Whitehead. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Emilie's name may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 - 325 Manning Road N.E.
