She was predeceased by : her parents, Hubert Anton and Tillie Anton; her brother David (Dolores); and also, Paul and Rose Gertner.

She is survived by : her husband Ronald "Ron" Gertner of Medicine Hat; her daughter Devery (Zane); her grandchildren, Blake (Judi) and Kade; her siblings, Jeanette (Larry), Rose Mary, Julie (Harwood) and Steven (Wanda); and also, Ed (Linda), Larry (Evelyn) and Sharon (Ron). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pattison Funeral Home (540 S Railway St, Medicine Hat, AB T1A2V6). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Erica with a donation, may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
