He was predeceased by: his wife Delores Stern (Paul); his parents, Allen Stern and Christina Stern; his grandson Jason Stern (Marion Sjolie); his brother Howard; his niece Valerie Reed; his brother Archie Stern; his nephew Darrell Stern; his in-laws, Dan, Emma Paul, Grant, Tillie Knowles, Marie Paul and Betty Straub; and his niece Shelley Straub.
He is survived by: his children, Randy, Brian (Peggy), Janice (Robin), Greg (Katherine) and Russ (Lise); his grandchildren, Stacey (Robin), Carla, Jody (Darrel), Kendra, Brandi (Tom), Jordan, Jesse and Dawson (Aleah); his great grandchildren, Logan, Rylan, James, Caiden, Paizley, Blayre, Kyree, Taia, Cheyenne, Jackson and Lily; his brother Ken Stern (Lil); and his in-laws, Pauline Stern, Ben Paul and Michelle Paul. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pattison Funeral Home (540 S Railway St, Medicine Hat, AB T1A2T4). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
