He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta; his daughter Lynnetta; his parents, Ed Strauss and Selma Strauss; and his stepmothers, Lydia and Inge.
He is survived by: his children, Neil Strauss (Judy), Brian Strauss (Cheryl), Kathy Korner (Ralph) and Karla Vermeer (Gerrit); his sister Ella Binder of Langley, BC.; his niece Arlene Poehlke (Roland); and his nephew Rodney Binder (Leanne). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
