It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Andrew Widmer of Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away on December 22, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Widmer of Medicine Hat; his children, Deanna Ries (Raymond), Colleen Herter (Derek) and Kerry Widmer (Kim); his grandchildren, Brett Ries (Tiffany), Kyle Herter (Rachel Hurley) and Mitchell Herter; his great grandchildren, Lily Ries and Cooper Ries; and his brother Lynn Widmer. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
