He was predeceased by: his wife Jean "Phyllis" Hirsch; his parents, Johanna Hirsch and Joseph Hirsch; and his siblings, Kasper Hirsch (Helen), John Hirsch (Margaret), Bregitta Grimm (Tony) and Theresa Pater (Ralph).

He is survived by: his children, Clayton Hirsch (Glenna), Gail Marr (Perry), Byron Hirsch (Leslie), Janis Bilyk (Donald) and Sandy McIntosh (Jamie); his grandchildren, Bryce Hirsch and Corby Hirsch (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Elodie, Aubrey and William; his grandson Derek Hirsch (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Emery; his grandson James Hirsch (Kim); his great grandchildren, Thomas and Charles; his grandchildren, Mark Hirsch (Kristin Giovenazzo), Dustin Bilyk, Jeffrey Bilyk (Tracy Sundquist), Kayla Bilyk-Rolph (Katrina) and Breane Andrews (Clark); and his great grandchildren, Hudson and Blake. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
