He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Gutfreund and John Gutfreund. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Gutfreund; his son Stefan Gutfreund (Kenzie); his grandsons, Oliver and Harlan; his children, Jerahmiah Gutfreund (Chey) and Matyna Gutfreund (Nicole); his brother Jim Gutfreund (Holly); his niece Emily; his nephew Owen; his sisters, Susan Sherburne (Ben) and Valerie Tobler (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Chelsea (Joel), Holmedal (Charlie), Tabetha and Branden Tobler.
Although the cancer had spread through his body, ultimately it was COVID-19 that sealed his fate as his body was just too weak from the cancer treatments to be able to fight off covid for a second time in two months.
