He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; his parents, Frank Lutz and Susanna Lutz; his stepmother Edna Lutz; and his siblings, Anna Marie Koenig, Tony (Katherine Ibach) and Henry Ibach.

He is survived by: his children, Ken Lutz (Eileen), Allan Lutz (Debra) and Myra Lutz (Cliff Berreth); his grandchildren, Kendra Lutz (Dan Somerville), Keri Lutes (Will), Amber Braun (Brian), Kimberly Lutz (Scott Graham), Kelly Lutz (Anna Ehret), Justin Lutz and Vicki Betcker (Tanner); his great grandchildren, Haileigh, Paige Lutes, Zachary, Hadley Braun and Heidi Betcker; and his siblings, Margaret McKay (Larry), Jerry (Kay Hager) and Mike (Marion Ibach). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
