He was predeceased by: his father Jim McKay; his mother-in-law Vivian Hansen; and his brother-in-law Ken Hansen. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Hansen-McKay of Medicine Hat; his mother Joan Young (Allen); his brother Wade McKay; his father-in-law Keld Hansen; his stepsisters, Dawn Marie Westad (Mike) and Natalie Mayne (Darcy); and his niece Alberta. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles.
