He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Brost and Ida Brost (Pfeifer); his son-in-law Stephen McRae; his siblings, Allan (Mabel), Jim, George, Gary Brost and Irene; his brothers-in-law, Marvin Mock, Merle Koenig, Don Elhart, Homer Gobiel, Boyd Sadler and Roy Schlinker (Marion); and his parents-in-law, Fred and Olga Schlinker (Rebman).
He is survived by: his wife Olive Brost (Schlinker) of Medicine Hat; his children, Debbie McRae (Brad Kriwoken), Steve Brost (Sandra Hawkins), Lorrie Pandachuck (Jody) and Shelley George (Herb); his grandchildren, April Robertson (Allan), Jerri Heaton (Dan), Chrystal Kuhn, Kory Brost (Caroline), Amber Schneider (Dillan) and Wade Brost (Erin); his sisters, Ruby Mock, Florence Koenig and Shirley Elhart; and his brother-in-law Ralph Schlinker (Matilda). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
