Lona Young Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lona Young in Medicine Hat, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 21, 2026 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lona Young to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid adieu to Lona's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lona has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Larry James Young; and her parents, Jack Ziegler (Natalie Ziegler) and Richard Ziegler. She is survived by: her children, James (Kira) and Jody (Allan); and her grandsons, Cameron and Matthew.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dress Casual and Use the North Side Building.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Lona are encouraged to do so by planting a tree in her memory.
