Margaret Monk Obituary
The memory of Margaret Monk of Medicine Hat, Alberta, born in Empress, Alberta, who passed away on April 9, 2026 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Wickenheiser and Margaret Wickenheiser; her husbands, Alfred Antonovitch and Albert Monk; her siblings, Wendell Wickenheiser and Theresa Dionne; and her stepson Steven Monk.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Nutzhorn, Dennis (Diane), Darlene Martin (Greg), Darcy (Brenda), Dana (Loralee), Diane Braaten and Doug (Cindy); her stepsons, Leonard (Joan), Michael and Gordon Monk (Debbie); her siblings, Valentine Wickenheiser (Beatrice), Rachel Hammel and Monica Pedersen; and her siblings-in-law, Bud Dionne and Carol Wickenheiser. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will follow in the LANCER MEMORIAL CEMETERY at 3:00 p.m. Those who wish to remember Margaret with a donation, may do so to the Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph's Home) c/o 156 - 3 St. NE, Medicine Hat, T1A 5M1.
