It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mitsuye Yamamoto (Medicine Hat, Alberta), born in Port Alice, British Columbia, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Keijiro Matsui and Yukino Matsui; her husband Shigeru "Sam" Yamamoto; and her children, Joyce, Doris and Bob (Eliza).

She is survived by: her son Roy; her grandson Lawrence; and her sister Sumiye Nishiguchi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
