He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacobus Braat and Johanna Braat; his siblings, John, Morris (Jane), Gerry and Joanne; and his sister-in-law Beth.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Badura; his children, Laurence (Lauri), Joseph (Laura), Rosemary, Susanne (John), Theresa (Bill) and Peter F.; his grandchildren, Lawson, Laine, Rebecca (Jayden), Sara, Jacob, William, Hannah, Miriam and Anneke; his siblings, Jake (Shirley), Fritz (Lisa), Case (Katie) and Ann (Hank); and his sister-in-law Bep. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
