He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Peter Petz; his wife Betty Ann; his parents, Alex Petz and Rose Petz; and his siblings, Victoria, George Petz (Anne), Mary Zitaruk (John), Elsie Pugsley (Phil), Doris Hnatyshyn (Bill), Margaret Hooper (Geral), Ann Davidson (Ray), Kay Brown, Nick Petz (Rosemarie), Jim Petz and Dave Petz.

He is survived by: his brother John Petz (Dolores) of Regina, SK; his sisters-in-law, Anne Petz of Russell, MB and Carol Petz of Regina, SK; his siblings, Marjorie Wagner (Arnold) and Steve Petz (Joan) of Camrose, AB; his children, Pam Hawley (Phil) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, ShellyAnn Petz of Calgary, Perry Petz of Calgary and Ryan Petz (Erika) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Chauntille Munchinsky (Justin), Kyler Hawley (Victoria), Kailen Petz (Steph), Lextyn Petz and Braedon Petz; his great grandchildren, Marek, Elias Munchinsky, Everleigh, Aria Petz, Hope Munchinsky, Thea and Everett Hawley; Adeline Schentag of Wolseley, SK, Ray, Margaret Kentel of Salmon Arm, BC and Brigid Kentel of Chilliwack, BC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
