He was predeceased by: his brother Brian; and his parents, Abram Friesen and Ruth Friesen. He is survived by: his son Thomas; his siblings, Wendy Hrenyk (Vern), Rae Kunze (Hank Tessier) and Larry Friesen; and his siblings' children, Jody, Kristy, Amy, Cindy, Christine, Chartotte, Carolynne, Kelly, Karla, Megan and Jacob.
