As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Avery; his children, Valerie Martin, Brian Avery (Patty) and Brent Avery (Corrie); and his sisters, Lorraine Forsberg and Ruth Hahn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Medicine Hat Women's Shelter (Phoenix Safe House), P.O. Box 2500, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 8G8, his favourite charity, in William's memory.
