With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Ellen Anderson in Vermilion, Alberta, who passed away on June 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie Anderson; her grandson Christopher Anderson; her parents, Allen Elgie and Grace Elgie; and her stepmother Mae Elgie.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Hryhirchuk (Gordon), Sandra McIver (Colin), Susan Barss (Bob), Allen Anderson (Marg), Eric Anderson (Sheryle), Ken Anderson (Bonny), Larry Anderson (Crystal), Laura Kuntz (Doyle), Frank Anderson and Connie Bickford (Dan); her grandchildren, Ian Hryhirchuk (Shelly), Neil Hryhirchuk (Dayna), Colin McIver (Naomi), Courtney Epps (Bradley), Nicole Lyste (Alvin), Amanda Barss, Shirley Haydon (Dwayne), Ryan Anderson, Kent Anderson (Meghan), Justin Anderson (Nathalie), Scott Anderson (Kayley), Cody Anderson (Naomi), Bryce Anderson (Ayanna), Kaylie Anderson, Olivia Fontaine (Kéven), Laramie Anderson, Paige Bickford and Danielle Bickford; and her siblings, Jean Sauers, Helen Taylor (Ernie) and Jim Elgie. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Minburn Community Hall (4916 50 St, Minburn, AB T0B3B0).
Memorial donations may be made to the Minburn Cemetery or charity of one's choice.
