Rita Marie Mills Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Alec Shopsky; her parents, Arsene Riopel and Marcelle Riopel; and her siblings, Laurette Vaculchik, Romeo Riopel, Lucien Riopel and Roger Riopel.
She is survived by: her children, Cailín Mills (Randy Cronin), Blaine Mills (Teresa), Michael Shopsky, Cathy Jaenen, Gail Trace and John Shopsky; her grandchildren, Nicole, Courtney, Gavin, Susy, Amanda, Cameron, Daniel, Kristy, Ally and Guage; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Grecen and Raphael; and her sister Lea Tupling. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Jean Baptist Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's honor may be made to the Recreation Program, Jubilee Lodge Nursing Home, 10333-76 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6A 3A8.
