He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his son Ryan Smith (Jennifer); his granddaughter Circé of Calgary; his daughter Nicole Tabel (Jörn); his grandson Sören of Nanaimo, B. C.; his siblings-in-law, Larry Logan (Barbara), Bill Homeniuk and Diane Hayter; and his sibling's children, Brian Barker (Cheryl), Scott Logan (Barb), Lori Alvarez (Juan), Angela Groves (Joe), Adele Lloyd (Erwin), Lisa Augustin (Cyril) and Cynthia Pyc (Jack).
