He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Zacharkiw and Nettie Zacharkiw; his parents-in-law, John and Rose Batiuk; and his brother-in-law Dennis Batiuk.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Jody and Trevor; his daughter-in-law Cheryl; his grandchildren, Calla, Annabelle, Johnny and Norah; his sister Faye Ewanchyshyn (Alvin); and his sisters-in-law, Marlene Solowan (Ron) and Eleanor Cowan (Randy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church (5419 Sawchuk St, Mundare, AB T0B3H0). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church (5419 Sawchuk St, Mundare, AB T0B3H0).
In lieu of other tributes, the family requests donations be made to the Covenant Health Foundation c/o the Mary Immaculate Care Center- Mundare – End of Life Room Project.
