She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Hugh; her children, Brent Perkins (Michele) of New Norway, Irene Perkins (Richard Edwards) of Calgary and Darren Perkins (Jane Spencer) of Deer Valley, Saskatchewan; her mother Helen Jans of Wetaskiwin; her siblings, Kenneth Jans (Holly) of New Norway, Karen Jacobsen of New Norway and Don Jans (Donna) of Wetaskiwin; her father Henry Jans; and her brother-in-law Rick Jacobsen.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Debbie 's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Stollery Children's Hospital.
