It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Arthur Garbutt (Okotoks, Alberta), who passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As George departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy George leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Garbutt and Louise Garbutt. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Geoff (Lisa) and Shannon (Dale); his grandchildren, William, Ryan and Evan; and his sister Sharon (David). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
