In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Hugh leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Hugh may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Mitchel. He is survived by: his children, Margo of Red Deer, Marian of Wetaskiwin, Frank (Carol) of Olds, Brendan (Lori) of Sundre, Michael (Myrna) of Olds, Kevin (Tess) of Olds, Brian of Red Deer, Bernadette (Gary) of Camrose and Patrick (Denise) of Calgary. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church (4302 57 Ave, Olds, AB T4H1C5).
