Melvin Dyck Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Dyck (Olds, Alberta), born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan, who passed away on September 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Melvin departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melvin. Though Melvin may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dianne Mahoney-Dyck; his children, Janet (Rick), Rob (Tara) and Merle (Donna); his stepchildren, Shawn and Shelly (Hugh); and his brother Butch. He was also cherished by his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Olds and District Evergreen Senior Centre (5237 52 St, Taber, AB T1G).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Olds Hospital or the Alberta Cancer Society.
