With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Rachel Coons of Peace River, Alberta, born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, who passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 85. As we bid Joyce farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joyce is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christine Robertson and James Robertson; and her daughter Jeri Lynn. She is survived by: her son Robert Swanston; her granddaughter Jazmin Rose; and her cousins, Mardeina and Shirley.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home (9813 101 St, Peace River, AB T8S1S3).
