With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Marvin Chase (Ponoka, Alberta), born in Edberg, Alberta, who passed away on October 21, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Nettie Chase; his grandparents, Mary and Fred Chase; his uncle Lloyd Chase; and his close friend Mike Semeniuk.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Umbach; his sons, Darren (Valeen) and Michael (Charlotte); and his grandchildren, Erin, Taylor and Talia Riehl (Dylan).
A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ponoka Funeral Home (5115 50 Ave, Ponoka, AB T4J1R5).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society.
