He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Laing; and his parents, George Young and Grace Young. He is survived by: his son Edward (Christine); his granddaughter Sarah; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew and Alexis; his son Jim; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Laing (family: Craig Laing) and Pat Weisgeber (Charlie).
