The memory of Gordon Cheney (Ponoka, Alberta), who passed away on March 18, 2026 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gordon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Doris of Ponoka; his sister Gail (Leo) of Calgary; and his siblings-in-law, Julie Minni of Ponoka, Linda Cheney of Vanscoy, SK and Gerry Arsenault (Dianne) of Theordore, SK. He is also survived by many close friends in Ponoka; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
