She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Pawloske and Lena Pawloske; and her siblings, Alma, Gladys, Dorothy (Dot), Inez and Len.

She is survived by: her husband William Shantz (Burt); her children, Mark Shantz (Carol) and Lana Dyck (Mark); her grandchildren, Kristy Jo Shantz, Stacy Leblanc (Geoff), Jeremy Dyck and Tyler Dyck; and her great grandchildren, Greyson Leblanc and Mila Leblanc.
