He was predeceased by: his son James; and his brother Big. He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Fran Kannenberg, Michael (Christa), Evalyn, Hudson, Ryan (Raeanne), Braxton, Lakelyn, Erin (Dan), Gord Walls (Carol), Jessica (Eddie), Bryce, Nancy Brown (Neil), Taylor (Kayla) and Alex; and his wife Pat. He is also survived by Dad leaves behind three of his four children.

Donations in his honour are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre (Palliative Care).
