We announce the death of Wayne Henschel (Ponoka, Alberta), who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 66. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Henschel and Doris Henschel (Wichman); and his brother-in-law Walter Mahowich. He is survived by: his siblings, Ron Henschel and Gladys Mahowich (Bill Fraser); his nephew Michael Zuk; his great-stepnieces and great-stepnephews, Danika Renner (Jase McCarthy) and Zach Renner; his aunts, Helen Buksa and Eileen Henschel; and his cousins, Doug Henschel and Marilyn Henschel. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
