William Jones Obituary
We announce the death of William Jones (Ponoka, Alberta), who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 81. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivor Jones and Myfanwy Jones; his parents-in-law, Bob and Mary Liddell; his sister Beverly; his brother-in-law Dennis Hoybak; his brother Wayne Jones; his brother-in-law George Hallet; and his nephew Brent Hallet.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his daughter Laurie; his sisters, Valerie Hallett and Julie Taylor (Phil); and his siblings-in-law, Judy Jones, David Liddell and Beth Sykes (Dick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ponoka Funeral Home (5115 50 Ave, Ponoka, AB T4J1R5).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donation Tributes are gratefully accepted to Northcott Care Centre, Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society, or Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
