He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim and Donna. He is survived by: his son Mitchell (Krystal); his grandchildren, Hailey, Carter and Leo; his son Brett (Selena); his grandchildren, Taisley and Traxton; his daughter Stephanie Berg (Danton); his grandchildren, Knox, Wells and Eden; his sisters, Nonavee Kary (Brent) of Veteran and Dawn Resch (Larry) of Veteran; Deanna Tainsh. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Palmer may be made to Ronald McDonald House or the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
