He was predeceased by: his parents, David Penman and Frances Penman (McKee); his wife Donna Penman (Lawrason); his brother David Penman; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Serwachak, Ralph Lawrason and Shirley Penman (Anderson); his sibling's children, Duane Penman, Brett Serwachak and Alana LaRiviere (Serwachak); and his cousins, Shirley Anne Berndt (McKee) and Murray Fobert.

He is survived by: his children, Colin (Cara) and Colleen; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Derek, Stuart and Addison; his sister Kay Serwachak (Penman); and also Cara. He is also survived by his extended family and many long time friends.
