He is survived by : his son Comet; his wife Joan Hicken Harker (Hicken); his children, Chayston Harker (Darla), Levi Harker (Artha), Ivory Oler (Zaren), Skouson Harker (Jodi), Zoe Stone (Kyle), Jesse Harker (Tina), Bronson Harker (Casey), Payton Harker (Bailee) and Keelia MacLennan (Brody); and his siblings, Zoe Ann Harker Aki and Bob Harker. He is also survived by his 41 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Craig Meldrum wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Joan and family, Our thoughts are with you at this time of loss. You are an amazing family. It was Bruce who said " Hey Craig why don't you ask that Jones girl to dance." We were at the Gold and Green Ball in 1968. Now we have been married 52 years. Thanks. We have always felt welcome at your home mostly impromptu visits while visiting parents or first of July festivities. We love you Craig and Jennifer Meldrum”
